| Southern born and bred, I've always lived in the middle Tennessee area. I currently
live in Santa Fe, a rural community in Maury County. James
(my husband) and I met in high school when we were sophomores. Northeast High in
Clarksville, to be exact. The story goes something like this: we had a mutual friend named
Leona, who, as you might guess, managed to get herself coerced into being the 'middle man'
of operation I'd-Like-A-Date-For-Homecoming. When Leona posed the possibility to James,
his response was quite negative. Seems he didn't want to go out with me as I was "the
marrying type". This was certainly not an attribute I would have ascribed to myself
at the time, but obviously it was a fairly accurate assessment on his part. Wednesday
before Homecoming weekend, James (dressed in one of his mother's skirts and frilly
sweaters no less, as it was "opposite dress day" during the Homecoming
activities) presented me with a box of peanut M&Ms and asked me to the Homecoming
Dance. The rest, as they say, is history. (Leona, by the way, is still a dear friend.)
James is a pretty fascinating fellow, if I do say so myself. His own interests range from
computers, to biblical languages, to hunting and fishing, with several things in between.
If you'd like to learn more about him, you can link on over to James Room.
James and I do have one son, James Harold Lunsford, III.
Little Harold was only with us for the six months I carried him and the eighteen days that
he shared with our family and friends in this world. But his existence has blessed my
life, and continues to do so. Harold is part of a very special story that you can read
about it at Our Testimony.
James and I also have a couple of cats. Cinder and Misty.
Yes, they are spoiled rotten, but we take full blame for that. |
| I
graduated from Trevecca Nazarene College (now Trevecca
Nazarene University) in 1991. Im primarily a
homemaker, but I do fill several other roles. Im
a Creative Memories consultant. Im the wife of a pastor, and also serve as
Childrens Minister (learn about Our Churches).
There are many things I enjoy doing during my free time. If
it's not something directly related to one of my main interests (see some of the other
topics in my room), then you might find me reading (a variety of things, fiction and
nonfiction alike) or listening to music (something by Stephen Curtis Chapman or Barry Manilow - maybe a CD of
Mozart, or any kind of clarinet music - possibly one of John Williams' works, or any one
of a number of musical/theater soundtracks). I also enjoy watching live stage
performances, whether they be in one of the large theaters of the Tennessee Performing Arts Center
or the more intimate dinner theater setting, such as Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theater in Nashville. I also play clarinet, and am a member of the Maury County Community Band. If nothing else, I'm probably sitting about reading email. Yes, I
greatly enjoy communicating with people - old friends and new ones waiting to be made -
via email, so why don't you drop me a line? |
