Author's Notes: Both of these are for my friend Mary, because she
was commenting in a LiveJournal thread one day that these two McLachlan songs
would make great episode vids. After hearing both songs, I simply had
to agree with her.

Daniel/Janet
holiday, -- rated 'teen & above viewers' -- song by
Mariah Carrey -- Dec 2004 -- 9.8 MB
Author's
Notes: Consider this my Christmas
gift to Daniel/Janet Shippers everywhere - especially that crazy bunch over
and DanandJan on Yahoo. I love you guys - thanks for helping to feed my
madness. If you squee half as much watching this as I did while making
it, then I think you're going to enjoy it. Merry Christmas!!
Daniel/Janet,
-- rated 'teen & above viewers' -- song by Atlantic Star
-- Nov 2004 -- 10 MB
Author's
Notes: Threw this one together on
impulse... spur of the moment... no pre-planning at all (other than it was a
song I'd thought I'd like to use for a vid some day). Not really sure
if I'm pleased with the completed product or not. Lesson learned: never,
ever, do a video on impulse again. The process is entirely too
frustrating! (Nominated for 2005
Stargate Video Awards, Daniel/Janet category)
Dan/Jan,
Sam/Jack, Sheppard/Weir -- rated 'teen & above viewers'
-- song Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler -- Nov 2004 -- 16.9
MB
Author's
Notes: I've been mulling this one
around in my head for weeks, so I'm rather excited to finally have the finished
product! First, I apologize about the large file size, but I chose to
use the long version (6+ min) of the song. Second, the impetus behind
this one... I really am a romantic at heart. It's nearly inevitable
that I'll see ship pairings in all my favorite TV shows/films. So this
vid is my way of saying how much I've enjoyed being a shipper for Stargate.
And remember, ship really is in the eye of the beholder. (Nominated for 2005 Stargate Video Awards,
Crossover category)

Author's
Notes: An acquaintance on the
Dan/Jan list (who also happens to be a Manilow fan like myself) contacted me
one day to ask if I'd consider doing a couple of vids. The moment I saw
the suggested titles, I knew I had to say yes! The first one is
intended to basically tell the story of how Janet taught Daniel to love
again, after the death of Sha're. The second one is something of a
tribute to Heroes, although it also projects into season 8. Be
warned, the angst level is high. Have the tissue box handy, and a happy
vid in the queue to watch afterwards.

Daniel,
Daniel/Janet -- rated 'teen & above viewers' -- song
by Linkin Park -- October 2004 -- 8.3 MB
Author's
Notes: This one was a joint
effort with my friend Meg. She wanted a video to go with a novel she
was writing. She picked the song and which clips to use - I simply put
it all together for her. If you ask me, she did the really difficult
part.

Daniel/Janet
-- rated 'teen & above viewers' -- song Nice
by Duran Duran -- October 2004 -- 8.25 MB
Author's
Notes: Gee, it's been twenty years
since I was all googly over Duran Duran, but they decided to get back
together to release a new album and WHAM! Apparently they still have an
influence, and it's crossing over into my other fandoms. This is a
companion video to the story Renovations.

Daniel/Janet
-- rated 'older teen & above viewers' -- song Fever
by Kylie Minogue -- August 2004 -- 9.4 MB
Author's
Notes: I made this one rather
quickly. As a result I'm not as pleased with it as some of the
others. (I know, I'm too much of a perfectionist - if it bothers me
enough I'll go back and re-work it some day.) The concept for this one
is pretty straightforward... poor Doc Frasier has got it bad, and a certain
doctor of archaeology is the only one who has the cure. J

vid (more or less)/action -- rated 'older teen & above viewers'
-- song Wild Boys by Duran Duran -- April 2004 -- 11.4
MB
Author's
Notes: The title pretty much sums
it up! J It's those fabulous lads from the SGC, doing what
they do best. I tried to make the clips fit with the lyrics, while also
choosing some of my favorite SG-1 moments. Although this one primarily
features Jack, Daniel, and Teal'c, look for a few guest appearances toward
the very end. Hope you enjoy! Also please note - the first few
seconds of this video are intended to play in silence. So, no, your
computer is not wacking out on you or anything.

Daniel
vid -- rated 'teen & above viewers' -- song
Ordinary World by Duran Duran -- April 2004 -- 11.3 MB
Author's
Notes: I've wanted to make a
Daniel focused video for some time. Listening to this song a few days
ago, it struck me as being fairly descriptive, at least in a general sense of
how I perceive Daniel's character. He's always been my
favorite, even since the original film. He's optimistic and idealistic -
not oblivious to reality, but continually striving to make the best of that
reality. No, it's not an easy path, and he doesn't always like the way
things work out - but in the end, Daniel is very much a survivor. I
admire that about him. So, in this video I attempted to trace a path
through the key events in Daniel's life. Then it closes with a reminder
of what Daniel does best - be there for those he loves. I hope you
enjoy.

episode
vid -- rated 'teen & above viewers' -- song
Unwell by Matchbox 20 -- Jan 2004 -- 9.6 MB
Author's
Notes: Legacy is one of my
favorite episodes, and when I heard this song it just seemed near
perfect. Points worth mentioning - this is my first video that is not
specifically made with a Daniel/Janet focus (although I can't be held
accountable for any perceived "ship") and I think it's the first
time I've done one that uses scenes in strict chronological order.

episode
vid with Daniel/Janet focus -- rated 'teen & above viewers'
-- song from Jekyll &
Hyde -- Jan 2004 -- 8.6 MB
Author's
Notes: Admittedly, I'm not as
pleased with this video as the others, primarily because I don't think the
song fits perfectly with the overall feel of the episode. In fact, if
you can believe it, the song is a wee bit too suggestive of ship - at least
moreso than I wanted to convey in this video. However, I wanted to do a
Lifeboat video for
a project the danandjan mailing list was working on - after searching my CD
selection for a suitable song, "Take Me As I Am" from the musical Jekyll & Hyde, worked
better than anything else I considered. I was also working under
something of a time constraint. So, in the end, I chose to be content
with what I had available. I figure if I find a song I like better in
the future, I can always make a second video. J Anyway, hope you enjoy this one.
If
interested, you can also download my Lifeboat
wallpaper. Oh, and the quote, used both in the video and the
wallpaper, is from Shakespeare.

Daniel/Janet --
rated 'teen & above viewers' -- song by Barry Manilow
-- Nov 2003 -- 10.1 MB
Author's
Notes: Confession time... I've
been a Barry Manilow fan since - well, since about birth.
It was only a matter of time before one of his songs became inspiration for a
Daniel/Janet video. Interestingly enough, this one sparked my creative
muse while I was painting my kitchen. Go figure.
